Murder 2 Music Review

Star Cast: Emraan Hashmi , Jaqueline
Music: Mithoon, Harshit, Sangeet Haldipur

Murder 2 is a sequel to the successful movie Murder produced by bhatt camp.
Bhatt camp are usually associated with melodious music with an exception being ‘crook’  so the expectations are high. The album contains 5 tracks and there are 3 composers at the helm of affairs.

1. Haal-e-Dil- This song is composed and sung by Harshit Saxena of Amul Voice Of India Fame. It is a melodious romantic song which bears the stamp of bhatt camp. Harshit has done a good job as a singer. Rating: 3/5

2. Aa Zara- The second track in the album, it is composed by sangeet haldipur and sung by Sunidhi chauhan. It is sensous in it’s appeal and reminds me of thrillers of the 70′s. Sunidhi has done a fabulous job as she displays her vast range. Rating: 3.5/5

3. Aye Khuda- This song is composed by Mithoon and sung by Mithoon , kshitij tarey and siam. It’s a sufi song and more like a prayer to god. The compostion is brilliant and is soothing to ears. All the singers have sung it with great passion and devotion. Rating: 4/5

4. Phir Mohabbat- Another track composed by Mithoon, this is a romantic song but with different traetment. It exudes pain, love, emotion, passion- all at the same time. This is the best tarck of the album. Singers mohd irfan, arijit and siam, all have put in their best to make it a memorable song. Rating: 4.5/5

5. Tujhko bhulana- The last tarck of the album composed by sangeet haldipur, this is the weakest song in the album. skip this one. Rating: 2/5
Overall, the album is a mix of sufi and romantic songs and are better than it’s prequel Murder. The two songs composed by Mithoon are exceptional.

Final Rating: 4/5
